What
is Sheila’s pricing policy?
For the core editing and writing part of this business, the base
rate professional fees for Cameron
Can Copy Edit are in line with those advised by the Society
for Editors and Proofreaders. Loadings apply to large corporate
clients. Sheila discounts her fees for some not-for-profit organisations,
hardship cases and registered charities. Loadings and discounts
are disclosed at the time of contracting. On-site meetings may
attract a fee.
A detailed quotation, including charges and taxes, is given to
the client prior to work commencing. Assignments normally proceed
in line with the quote and the job specifications. Thus, the final
invoice is transparent and complete.
Invoices, with 30 day terms, are supplied to the client on delivery
of the finished task. A log of hours is kept. Experience shows
that many people wish to see a breakdown of the fees for their
completed work. They are thereby able to identify and monitor
the sources of their major costs.
